The Law of Clear Vision Experiment
Mark Joyner, in his book Simpleology, provided the following exercise in quickly getting what you want:
Method 1 - Guessing
Note: Do NOT do this in a room with any sharp objects!
Stand in the middle of a room with plenty of space and pick out an object in the room. Pretend the object is your "goal".
Now, close your eyes, spin around about four or five times, stop in the direction of where you think the object is, and, without opening your eyes, walk toward the object.
How close did you get to it?
Method 2 - Clear Vision
Stand in the middle of the same room and pick out the same object.
Spin around again, but this time with your eyes open. Stop, face the object, and walk toward it.
How close did you get to it this time?
Seems pretty silly, doesn't it? It is! Although this exercise was simple, remember one thing: The most important thing you did was to select a target. Without doing that first, you would not have known where to go. The second most important thing you did was to keep your eye on that target as you moved toward it.
As your coach, I will help you determine what your goals are and to stay focused on them.
