When you think about what you want, keep this very important
truth in mind:
It is much easier to
move TOWARD a specific goal than
it is to move away from an intolerable situation. Thinking about or
focusing on an intolerable situation keeps us stuck!
Almost every client I have or have had has answered this
question with, "I don't really know." So, let's explore the
possibilities...
What if...
time and money were no object. What would
you do with your life?
What if...
you had three choices
to be rich
to be happy
to be famous...
Which would you choose? What would your life look like?
What if...
you had a one-time opportunity to relive
the last five years...What would you do differently? How will your answer
influence your next five years?
What if...
you were the happiest person on this
planet...
What does your life
look like now? What is making you so happy?
What if...
you could have it all? How do you define
"all"?
Do you want...
more money?
more love?
a loving relationship?
a bigger house?
new furniture?
more friends?
a blissfully happy marriage?
a high paying job?
a promotion?
a new business?
increased business?
to be famous?
to be slender?
to be healthy?
What? What do YOU want?

As you can see, you have choices, lot's of them. Let's take
this a little deeper...
Each choice you make will take you to a different destination,
and each destination will require a different path. The path can be fun,
dangerous, easy or complex. Arrival at the destination, however, makes the path
worthwhile.
What is your destination?
This question is best answered by completing one or more of
the following statements:
The legacy I want
to leave is_______________.
I want to
achieve_________________________.
I want to
feel____________________________.
I want to
build___________________________.
I want my children
to have_________________.
I want my weight
to be____________________.
I want my health
to be____________________.
I want to retire
by________________________.
When I retire, I
want to____________________.
Don't let the
"I shoulds" be your hole. Let the
"I wants"
be your bridge. "Shoulds" are nothing more than good ideas that belong to
other people.
Now are you more clear about what you want? Okay, on to the
next question...
